JCog

JCog is a comprehensive Artificial [General] Intelligence toolkit for the Java Virtual Machine which can be used to implement various cognitive architectures and combinations of narrow[er] AI components.

(A full list of features will appear here soon. JCog is in active development and experimentation so it is not intended yet for production use.)

JCog was originally intended to provide a Java implementation of the OpenCog cognition engine but has grown to include a much more diverse set of software components provided primarily by the collection of dependent projects such as dANN and Encog.  The framework now envisions implementation of OpenNARS, Genifer, and other potential cognitive architectures using interchangeable software components -- something that the Java language and virtual machine facilitates painlessly, and with minimal performance overhead (using a just-in-time compiling JVM like OpenJDK 7).
